David Gomez is the Founder and Principal of PEAK and AKSEL, a New York City-based real estate development firm. With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Gomez has been instrumental in more than $1 billion in transformative real estate transactions across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
His comprehensive expertise encompasses the full asset lifecycle, from ground-up development and complex repositionings to condo conversions of multifamily and mixed-use properties. Mr. Gomez directly oversees all construction and design, executing projects with noted financial precision and disciplined execution to deliver strong risk-adjusted returns in New York City's demanding regulatory environment.
He is distinguished by a community-forward development philosophy, championing intentional design that elevates quality of life. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Gomez is a dedicated father, traveler, and endurance athlete, applying the same perseverance to his projects as to his personal pursuits.
Development and Finance
Amnay Labou is a Principal at PEAK and has been part of the firm since its inception. He oversees all construction projects, leasing strategy, and marketing initiatives. Amnay brings more than eight years of experience in financial real estate analysis, marketing, and residential leasing, with prior roles as Senior Real Estate Analyst at NBC Universal and Omnicom Group.
Prior to PEAK, Amnay worked as a New York Real Estate Salesperson with Fountain Property Advisors. He holds a Master’s in Finance from INSEEC Business School in London, a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Sorbonne in Paris, and a Real Estate Finance Certificate from NYU.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Amnay is an avid athlete. He completed the Half Ironman Miami in 2017 and the New York City Marathon in 2014 and 2022. He is also passionate about investing in technology companies, studying geopolitics, and traveling the world.
Development and Architect
Driven by a passion for the built environment, Dayana Rivero has led the development
and delivery of more than two million square feet of ground-up residential, hospitality,
and commercial interior projects across New York and the United Arab Emirates. She
brings a disciplined yet creative approach to guiding projects from concept through
completion, ensuring clarity of vision, rigorous execution, and long-term value at every
stage.
Dayana is known for her ability to align stakeholders, navigate complex entitlement and
design processes, and lead multidisciplinary teams toward ambitious outcomes. Her
work bridges strategy, design, and execution to consistently deliver projects.
She began her career at JLL, working across both the New York and Dubai offices,
where she delivered a portfolio of high-profile projects. These included the $80 million
renovation of the Lotte New York Palace Hotel, a $10 million mixed-use gut renovation
for Turnbull & Asser, and the planning of a $120 million renovation of Hilton New York’s
2,000-key guestroom property. In the UAE, Dayana led projects for global brands
including Apple, Adidas, and HSBC. She later went on to lead the development of 111
Montgomery, a $100 million, 163-unit ground-up residential development in Brooklyn.

Before founding AKSEL, Mr. Gomez built Peak from the ground up into a fully integrated platform that acquires, redevelops, manages, and leases a portfolio valued at over $750 million. Under his leadership, Peak is known for its operational discipline, hands-on execution, and full-cycle expertise.
Mr. Gomez’s background spans ground-up development, complex repositioning, and condo conversions of multifamily and mixed-use assets. He directly oversees acquisitions, construction, and design — delivering strong risk-adjusted returns within NYC’s highly regulated and competitive environment.
Known for a community-forward development philosophy, he champions intentional design that enhances daily living and reflects the character of each neighborhood.
Outside of work, he’s a dedicated father, traveler, and endurance athlete — bringing the same focus and perseverance to his personal life as he does to his projects.
Development & finance
Amnay Labou is a Principal at AKSEL and has been with the firm since its inception. He oversees construction across the firm’s portfolio, including preparing project budgets, managing cost controls, and tracking expenditures from pre-development through completion. He works closely with contractors and architects to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and aligned with investment objectives. In addition to construction oversight, he contributes to leasing and support asset positioning and performance.
Amnay brings more than a decade of experience in real estate investment, financial analysis, and asset repositioning. For the past ten years, he also served as a Principal at Peak, where he played a key role in the firm’s growth from its early stages. He led capital improvement and renovation initiatives, developed project budgets, supervised construction execution, and helped implement leasing strategies across a diverse New York City multifamily portfolio. His work combined financial discipline with hands-on operational management, supporting portfolio expansion and long-term value creation.
Earlier in his career, Amnay held senior analyst roles at NBCUniversal and Omnicom Group, where he built a strong foundation in financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic planning. He also worked as a licensed real estate salesperson with Fountain Property Advisors, contributing to the growth and management of residential assets throughout New York City.
